Comments

This looks like the old Tide Signal mast located just north of the Harbourmaster's House on the Camber side of the Rother at the harbour (Ed. no it is one the village side). Every year around about April/May, the first Cuckoo would alight on the top of the mast and start her chorus, before dropping her egg in some unfortunate Skylark's nest.
