Jackson's Stage

These large concrete blocks are near Lime Kiln Cottage. They are made of the blocks made in Tram Road (?)

As a boy I can remember those concret blocks just in front of Lime Kiln Cottage. Why they were placed there seems rather a mystery, but I suspect that there was some plan afoot by the old Rother & Jury's Gut River Board to build a new unloading dock facility which really never got off the ground. Perhaps the KRB which took over from the RJGRB have some record of it in their historical files?
