Bess Clothier was my Great Gran. She lived in Tram Road house name Sea View. Grans maiden name was Downey. She sadly lost 2 brothers on the RNLI boat The Mary Standford. In the Rye church grounds there is a seat there placed by her son Harold in her Memory
