Concrete - July 1937

This piece of concrete (bottom right)is adjavent to the Environment Agency's road at about TQ943178, about 600 meters from the river Rother. It appears to be inscribed July - 1937 - GRADE(???)and might form part of the marking of the Rye Rifle Range. Might be related to the "Barber's Pole" ie painted red and white.
