Rye Harbour beach

This photo was taken the day the second world war was declared in September 1939. It shows me (Dave Witherspoon) as a young child along with Bruce Martin, Dorothy Martin, my great gran Sohpia Clara
Honeysett, and my Mum Gwen Witherspoon. The Martins and my great gran lived in Udimore Road, Rye.
The concrete pipes in the picture were made at Rye Harbour and the firm (Spun Concrete)was there for many years. They were positioned to front of the Red-roofed Hut which unfortunately is not in the picture.

Picture Added on 10 June 2006.
