Gasson's Beach House

This was just east of the Mary Standford Lifeboat House. The ruin there is known as Gasson's Ruin and is now a few broken concrete walls. See picture #143.

Does anyone know anything about this building and how it was used? It seems quite a large structure but not residential. It would be interesting to know more. Thank you. 3
