Boulder Boat

This boat is the Sarah Elgar… I’ve got the original photo hanging up in my sitting room. In the picture is my my Great Grandad and Great grandmother. John & Mary Milgate and my Nan Dorothy Milgate with her brother Bill. They also had a sister Charlotte ( Aunt Lottie ) she’s not in this picture.The younger man standing is a friend of the family ( name I will look into) My grandad was a boulderor. The family lived in Paynes cottages just along from where the post box is now.
John and Mary Milgate are buried in the church yard at Rye Harbour
