The Cuttings c.1930

Philip Dibley's Grandfather James Charles Cutting and Grandmother Caroline Cutting (Saunders) who died about the time Peter was born in 1936. James was the ferryman.

hi Philip, my name is Andrew Cutting and my grandfather was John Roberts Cutting, and his parents were Thomas James Cutting and Caroline Joy. Just wandering as to if there was any relation?

James and Caroline are my great grandparents, their daughter Freda may was my grandmother and she married Frank Chapman. My father John Chapman ran a builders and decorating business with his father from the mint in rye. For many years my grandmother ran the Fremlin's off-licence on the corner of rope walk and cinque ports street in Rye.
