Martello Tower

Built in 1806 to defend against invasion by Napolean's army. This decaying building is very sad. It needs money and much care to save it.
With a PDF account by Michael Saville.

Comments

We have an excellent one in Sydney Harbour at Fort Dennison. I also found one in good repair at Flic en Flac, Mauritius last year. There is a very poor one in the Scilly Isles.

Can we do anything about it?
